The Central Inspectorate for the Protection of Quality and Repression of Fraud ( ICQRF ) of agri-food products of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry ( Masaf ) has renewed the authorization for CSQA to carry out controls for the Indication for the next three years Geographically Protected White Asparagus of Cimadolmo PGI.

The White Asparagus of Cimadolmo was the first asparagus in Europe to obtain PGI certification in 2002 , a recognition of the typical nature of this ancient product.

In Cimadolmo the cultivation of asparagus is in fact documented by the historian Giacomo Agostinetti as early as 1679 .

It is grown on sandy-loamy soils of alluvial origin, permeable and well drained, on the left bank of the Piave river in the province of Treviso , in an area that was often covered by the river's floods.

Today production involves around ten companies with a total certified production of around 110 quintals.

The Cimadolmo PGI White Asparagus Consortium deals with the protection and valorisation of Asparagus, marked by the consortium brand as a guarantee of excellence in quality and as certification of the legitimacy of the product's denomination of origin.

There are 11 municipalities in the Province of Treviso that fall within the production area and along which the Cimadolmo PGI White Asparagus Road winds.
The symbolic km 0 starts from Cimadolmo, and begins a route that offers the possibility of immersing oneself in an itinerary between the Piave river and hectares of vineyards full of history.
