eIDAS Regulation

CSQA is accredited across Europe for Certification according the eIDAS Regulation.

WHAT IS eIDAS
eIDAS is a certification of compliance of fiduciary services providers and the services they offer.
The Regulation (EU) No. 910/2014 on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the internal market (eIDAS Regulation) is aimed at achieving, in the future, full standardisation and mutual recognition of the signature legislation applicable in the individual EU member states to date both for electronic identification and the use of trust services for electronic transactions.

WHY IT IS IMPORTANT
eIDAS Regulation entails new and, partially, changed organisational and technical requirements for providers of electronic identification and trust services.
It provides a predictable regulatory environment to enable secure and seamless electronic interactions between businesses, citizens and public authorities.

WHAT WE DO
CSQA is an Accredited CAB (Conformity Assessment Body) charged to verify that the TSP and the service provided complies eIDAS Regulation.
We help to ensure that:

- people and businesses can use their own national electronic identification schemes (eIDs) to access public services in other EU countries where eIDs are available.
- the European internal market for electronic trust services – namely electronic signatures, electronic seals, time stamp, electronic delivery service and website authentication – that they will work across borders and have the same legal status as traditional paper based processes.

CSQA has already qualified two companies:
  • Infocert SpA
  • Zucchetti SpA
