What it is
The ISO 22301
"Societal security - Business Continuity Management Systems - Requirements
" standard has been developed to help organizations of all sizes minimize the risk of interruptions
Since the end of 2014 it has become the normative reference for the certification of a Business Continuity Management System
, replacing BS 25999.
CSQA is accredited by ACCREDIA
CSQA can issue internationally recognized certifications through IQNet
, being a member of CISQ.
Compared to the previous BS25999 "Business Continuity Management" standard, the ISO/IEC 22301 standard focuses on the following aspects:
- demand for a greater attention to the whole production chain
- risk assessment
- involvement of Top Management at all stages of BCM;
- identification of the acceptable minimum operating level in case of disaster
- better definition of the vocabulary used.
The proper implementation of a business continuity management system allows the organization to react in a responsive and effective way to catastrophic events so as to drastically reduce the potential damage of such events.
