The Consortium of Radicchio Rosso di Verona PGI presents the 25th Edition of the Interregional Gastronomic Competition “Radicchio d'Argento” , an event that for a quarter of a century has celebrated and promoted the excellence of Radicchio PGI di Verona, an undisputed symbol of the agricultural, cultural and culinary tradition of the Veronese plain.
The heart of the event will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2025 , at Bevilacqua Castle (VR) , meeting at 9:30 am . The theme chosen for this edition, “Neuroscience and Nutrition – How to feed our brain? A healthy mind in a healthy body,” combines science and gastronomy, offering an innovative approach to the relationship between food, mind, and well-being.
The day will open with a guided tour of the Monastery of San Salvaro (Padua) and continue with a roundtable discussion moderated by experts in the scientific and gastronomic fields. Speakers include: Michele Antonelli , researcher in hygiene and preventive medicine and writer; Maurizio Drago , food and wine journalist; Enzo Gambin , Scientific Director of AIPO Verona; Alessandro Norsa , psychologist, anthropologist, and writer; Cristiana Furiani , President of the Radicchio PGI Consortium of Verona; and Luca Valdetara , Head of the PDO-PGI Division of CSQA Certificazioni . A Viandante aperitif will be offered at the end of the meeting.
