The Regola di Costa certification was born from the idea of the Consorzio Legno Veneto / Rir ForestaOroVeneto, included in the regional project Veneto in Action , to certify a Dolomite forest area close to one of the Olympic events.
"Regula di Costa immediately and unreservedly supported the proposal," explains Piero Balanza, secretary of the Consortium . "It's not actually in the Ampezzo basin, but it represents, still in the Alpine province of Belluno, an area of exceptional landscape and environmental value, always managed according to sustainability criteria. A culture of slow tourism already exists here, experiential tourism that allows for year-round immersion in nature in an authentic mountain landscape."
The original project envisioned identifying an area in the Boite Valley, but the Veneto Wood Consortium was happy to welcome Regola di Costa's interest. "Thus, work began with highly professional technicians , to whom we extend our heartfelt thanks, to implement the certification process, appointing CSQA Certificazioni of Thiene as the verification body."
