The Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia opens its doors to the agricultural carbon credit market.With Call J – Carbon Credits , approved by resolution of the Regional Council of 31 July 2026, no. 1159, as part of the 2026 Agricultural Value Programme, non-repayable grants are available for companies that wish to certify the carbon stored thanks to sustainable agricultural practices.
Who is it for?
The following can apply:- agricultural SMEs with operational units in the region , registered in the Chamber of Commerce's business register, which have created a company file with cultivated areas to be certified;
- temporary associations of companies or business networks comprising agricultural SMEs that meet the requirements indicated above;
- agricultural cooperatives registered in the regional register , with operational units in Friuli Venezia Giulia, of which eligible agricultural SMEs are members.
What it finances
The call covers the costs necessary to start and complete a carbon credit certification project , in particular:- specialist consultancy, feasibility studies, analyses, surveys and sampling for project preparation;
- project validation costs and verification of results by independent bodies accredited according to UNI EN ISO standards, in addition to credit certification costs;
- monitoring, reporting and verification systems , including periodic surveys, data collection, GIS processing and remote sensing.
Amounts and intensity of the contribution
- Minimum eligible expenditure : 1,400 euros per application
- Maximum eligible expenditure : 700 euros/hectare, up to a limit of 7,000 euros
- Intensity of the contribution : 40% of the eligible expenditure
- Contributions granted under the agricultural "de minimis" regime (EU Regulation 1408/2013)
- Not cumulative with other aid, contributions or public financing for the same expenses
How and when to apply
Applications must be submitted from August 7 to October 7, 2026 , according to the one-stop procedure (chronological order of arrival), via certified email to the address competitivita@certregione.fvg.it , using the "Application form" available in the Forms section of the dedicated regional page.Only one application per agricultural business is permitted.
