Born in 2022 from a shared and ambitious vision, Diversity Ark is today one of the most innovative and rapidly expanding agro-ecological certifications. Founded by agronomists Stefano Amadeo and Stefano Zaninotti , with the managerial support of Luigi Vignaduzzo , the certification stands out for its scientific, holistic, and concrete approach to protecting biodiversity, starting from soil health and extending to the well-being of the entire agricultural ecosystem, including humans.
In a short time, Diversity Ark obtained CSQA certification and recognition as a standard by Equalitas and, more recently, it became part of the certifications accepted by the SAQ (Société des alcools du Québec) monopoly in Quebec, marking an important step forward in the international consolidation of the project.
Stefano Amadeo, co-founder of Diversity Ark, told Virtù Quotidiane how the idea for a certification that looks to the future of agriculture with courage and consistency was born, what the guiding principles are, and where this virtuous model is headed.
The idea of creating Diversity Ark was born from the awareness of a concrete need in the agricultural sector: to bring biodiversity back to the center of agricultural practices and debate . Many existing certifications focus on general environmental aspects, neglecting soil health and vitality, which are essential for resilient, sustainable, and productive agriculture in the long term. We therefore wanted to develop a recognized and scientific standard capable of concretely measuring and valorizing biodiversity on farms, responding to the growing demand for transparency and sustainability from the market and institutions. Diversity Ark offers an innovative and applicable tool that integrates chemical-physical, biological, entomological, and botanical analyses to assess the health of agricultural ecosystems. Our goal is to support a concrete transition to an agriculture that preserves the environment, improves soil fertility, and ensures sustainable production, enabling companies to credibly certify and communicate their commitment to protecting biodiversity.

Thanks to CSQA's experience and independence, certified companies can count on reliable controls, validated scientific reports, and management compliant with international standards.
