Torre Pallavicina is the first Grana Padano PDO dairy to have officially obtained authorization to use the "Made Green in Italy" logo , promoted by the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security to enhance the environmental performance of national products.
For the Bergamo-based company—which acquired the Bolide Eredi Bonetta dairy in Alfianello in 2022—this is a significant milestone in one of Italy's most iconic agri-food supply chains and "is the result of a structured process, made possible thanks to the collaboration between the production system and a qualified team of research institutions," a statement emphasizes. The work was developed with the Milan Polytechnic, the Catholic University, and Enersem, a leading company in environmental analysis and the sustainability of agri-food systems, with certification issued by the CSQA body .
The recognition has a strategic value for the entire Grana Padano supply chain , from production to marketing: «It sends a strong signal to the entire supply chain – comments Renato Zaghini, president of the Grana Padano Protection Consortium .
