
The event, promoted by the Qualivita Foundation with Origin Italia and the support of MASAF , will see Ferrarese speak on the topic of education and pedagogy in the tourist experience and for the development of sustainable territories . Director of CSQA Certificazioni and professor at the Master in Food Quality and Safety at the University of Padua, as well as an expert in the agri-food sector and certification systems for the sustainable development of the sector, Ferrarese will offer a scientific analysis on the challenges for the integration of tourism sustainability in agri-food companies and in the territory, focusing on the opportunities offered by DOP Tourism .
His speech, entitled “Tourist Sustainability of DOP and IGP”, will highlight how Geographical Indications , and in particular DOP Tourism, are a tool for defining strategies and concrete actions in order to implement agricultural, production and tourism practices that respect the environment, humans and animals.
The DOP Tourism Report and the meeting on June 25th represent an important moment to strengthen awareness of the transversal value of GIs , foster new collaborations between territorial actors and shine a spotlight on good practices that can be replicated throughout Italy.
