Since its launch in 2022, sales of zero-residue mushrooms from OP Consorzio Funghi di Treviso have grown nearly eightfold. This figure illustrates the evolution of a project that began as a technical supply chain choice and has quickly become a concrete strategic lever for segmentation in large-scale retail trade.
The "Zero Residues" line, certified by CSQA according to the DTP 021 Cert specification number 23765 (pesticide residues permitted on the crop ≤ the limit of 0.01 mg/kg), is part of a product range that the Consortium has built over the years by focusing on differentiation. "Our goal," explains Marta Fuser, Sales Manager for the Consortium's large-scale retail trade , "was not simply to respond to market demand, but to structure a process consistent with our production vision. Segmentation is essential today to enhance the department and offer consumers distinct levels of offering."
The Residuo Zero line now includes white mushrooms, cream mushrooms, portobello mushrooms, and oyster mushrooms, catering to both the basic and gourmet segments, as well as the plant-based cuisine trends, where mushrooms can play a leading role.
