The PEFC- certified forestry assets managed by the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Sustainable Forest Management Group, coordinated by Uncem Fvg, continue to grow. This forest has nothing to do with "wild" forestry, i.e., the spontaneous increase in woodland.
Following the annual audit concluded at the end of June by the CSQA certification body, the certified area reaches almost 105 thousand hectares, further consolidating the Group's primacy as one of the leading Italian companies in terms of the size of certified public forests.
The increase in certified area was made possible thanks to the entry into the Group of the Municipality of Tramonti di Sopra , which brings 4,218 hectares of certified forest area, and the further extension of certified areas by some already participating bodies.

PEFC certification , issued through an independent third-party audit, certifies that forests are managed according to recognized standards and that the timber placed on the market comes from responsibly managed forests. This commitment is particularly important because forests contribute to the protection of biodiversity, soil and water resources, and mitigation of the effects of climate change and natural disasters, as well as providing renewable raw materials, economic opportunities, and essential spaces for the well-being of communities.
