Polli , a historic Italian brand founded in 1872, presents a major innovation: preservative-free Pesto alla Genovese . This profoundly revamped product is the result of years of investment in the Italian basil supply chain and a clear choice: to bring an even better pesto to Italian tables, without preservatives and without sacrificing any of the original flavor.

The product: a new recipe, the same tradition

Polli Pesto alla Genovese is made with 100% Italian basil from a certified supply chain (the Polli basil supply chain is CSQA certified – ISO22005 cert. no. 71049 – DTP035 cert. no. 71050), processed fresh within 24 hours of harvesting.

A premium raw material, treated with the care it deserves: harvested in the early hours of the morning and transformed into pesto within 24 hours, to preserve its bright color, intense aroma, and authentic flavor.

The true innovation of the recipe is the clear choice to eliminate preservatives : "We know what to put in. And what to leave out" is the slogan that expresses this philosophy.

But the new addition isn't just the recipe. Polli's Pesto alla Genovese is available in a convenient 90g x2 format, in more sustainable packaging than the previous one: 25% less CO₂ emissions , thanks to the use of lightweight jars, Italian-made glass with a higher percentage of recycled content, and new, low-emission tinplate lids.
