In an international context marked by crises and strategic transitions, the Italian Ministry of Defense has launched a series of initiatives in recent months that, while proceeding along different tracks, contribute to a common goal: the modernization and overall effectiveness of the national military. Alongside the constituent phase of the Armed Forces reform, there is a parallel process of consolidating the management and administrative mechanisms of Defense.
This was demonstrated by the opening of the Strategic Committee on January 16, tasked with drafting the bill for the Defense Reform, promoted by Minister Guido Crosetto . During the presentation, the minister clarified his intention to approach the reform "not as a reform of the minister, but as a reform of the Armed Forces," emphasizing the "technical and operational" nature of the process underway and the significance of the contribution deriving from the concrete experience of those who work daily in the defense and security sector.

In parallel with this essentially regulatory and strategic work, another strand of modernization has been consolidated: that of internal management processes and systems . On January 15, the Defense General Staff announced that the General Office of the Administrative Responsibility Center (CRA) had obtained UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 recertification for its Quality Management System , after a process that began in 2022. The certification was issued following an audit conducted by CSQA Certificazioni Srl , a body accredited by Accredia and the only national authority guaranteeing the technical competence and independence of certifying bodies.
