It would be a legitimate member of the influential Hénokiens Association, the international association of family businesses that have been in business for over two centuries. The Zucchi Oil Mill in Cremona, in fact, is now 215 years old and has always been owned by the same family. "The founder," comments Mariella Cerullo, the dynamic manager of both corporate communications and institutional relations for the company, with 32 years in the industry, seven of which at Zucchi, and vice president of Federolio, a kind of steamroller that fuels enthusiasm, "started his business, initially an artisanal one, in Pizzighettone, in the province of Cremona, in 1810, extracting flour and oil from corn and flaxseed.

The company is proud to have been the first to market a 100% Italian, certified sustainable EVO oil in 2016. "Producers adhere to our Sustainability Certification guidelines for the entire EVO supply chain, which are based on 150 parameters certified by CSQA," says Cerullo.
