WHAT IS THATThe UNI 11311 standard defines the requirements of synthetic corks intended for conditioning beverages and food liquids.
It is a national, product standard, created in the UNI headquarters from the collaboration of all the interested parties with the aim of defining the quality parameters of the cap, when made of synthetic material, in order to guarantee specific characteristics of the bottle closure device.
In fact, it establishes objective elements, based on the verification of numerous parameters (physical, mechanical, diffusive, sensorial, chemical, hygienic), to be compared with numerical or alphanumeric indices and intended to facilitate the relationship between customer and supplier and to support the demonstration of compliance with EC Reg. 1935/2004
The standard is applicable to companies of any size that operate in the sector of production of corks in synthetic material.
