Bio Suisse is the association of Swiss Bud companies and is the owner of the registered trademark Bud. The owners are approximately 7,450 Gemma farmers and Gemma gardeners organized into 32 associated organizations.
Bio Suisse organizes and directs the development of Bud and organic farming in Switzerland. Since its foundation in 1981, the association has become the quintessential Swiss organic organization. La Bud, a brand of Swiss organic producers and their organic products, guarantees compliance with the Bio Suisse directives and therefore a very high standard of organic production throughout the farm as well as in the upstream and downstream sectors.
More than 1150 processing and trading companies have concluded a licensing agreement with Bio Suisse and manufacture the gently and genuinely processed Bud products.
