CARBON NEUTRALITY

WHAT IS THAT

"Carbon Neutrality" means the zeroing of the carbon footprint of a product, service, organization, community, event or building.

The main regulatory reference in this area is the English specification PAS 2060 , which dictates a series of measures and requirements that subjects must comply with in order to demonstrate this carbon neutrality (with reference to the elements mentioned above: product, service, organisation, etc.).

In particular, there must be a "Carbon Management Plan" which contains an explicit reference to a strategy for reducing emissions and offsetting residual quotas through carbon credits , which in turn must comply with certain quality criteria (additionality, no double counting, permanence, etc.), verified by an independent third party.
