WHAT IS THAT

With Departmental Decree n. 438987 of 16 September 2021, a certification system for the sustainability of the fruit and vegetable supply chain was established.

For the year 2022 , in the first application, the certification system of the Sustainability of the Fruit and Vegetable Chain is based on the national integrated production guidelines , integrated with the principles of economic, environmental and social sustainability introduced in the SQNPI standard   starting from the current year, and applicable to post-harvest.

HOW TO JOIN AND HOW TO OBTAIN THE CERTIFICATION

Adherence to the fruit and vegetable Sustainability certification system is voluntary, it can be requested by individual or associated companies, through the methods of adhering, management and control already in use for SQNPI.

Companies that demonstrate their compliance with the provisions of the "disciplinary" under the SQNPI regime in 2022 will obtain the issue of a specific certificate of Sustainability of the Fruit and Vegetable Chain , which will allow the use of the SQNPI Mark on the certified product.
