Since 1850, in the Brianza hills of Calco, in the province of Lecco, the Pirovano family has been running its business with a specific goal: caring for others—people and the environment—with the same care they give to their wines. After all, wine has been in this family's DNA for 175 years and five generations: the founder was Amadio Pirovano, with his winemaking business, followed by Antonio, Costantino, Amadio, Ambrogio, Costantino, along with Fausto and Enzo, now at the helm of Cantine Pirovano with his wife Laura and daughter Beatrice.
The company releases 25 million bottles of wine each year, showcasing the excellence of Italy's diverse terroirs. And it does so with an increasingly strong and concrete commitment to the environment, as demonstrated by the certifications it has obtained and the many ongoing projects.

The company has received EcoVadis gold medals for sustainability in the production of labels, entrusted to Sanfaustino Label, which also won the Gold Excellence Certification award from IIP for the application of innovative printing techniques to a paper that maintains its natural qualities and recyclability.
“The Cycle4green certification, which attests to CO2 savings thanks to the collection and recycling of used labels, is a reliable and measurable fact, demonstrating how every small choice can make a difference,” says Beatrice Pirovano.
In addition to these achievements, there is also the Equalitas Sustainable Winery certification, the standard that measures sustainability in the winemaking sector and throughout the wine supply chain, promoted by Federdoc (Confederation of Consortia for the Protection of Italian Wine DOCs), Csqa Certificazioni , Valoritalia and the Gambero Rosso Foundation.
