For the CAA Confagricoltura, this is a strategic goal , which strengthens the protection of sensitive information , the relationship of trust with agricultural companies, public bodies and citizens and the concrete commitment to a solid and secure management system , in line with the best international standards.
A concrete response to the national regulatory framework
Legislative Decree no. 74/2018, Article 6, establishes the guarantee and operational requirements that Authorized Agricultural Assistance Centers (CAA) must meet and expressly states that the CAA guarantees information security through ISO 27001 certification.
Even though the CAAs are private entities, they contribute to the protection of the general interest by helping to guarantee transparency , regularity and legality in the management of financial aid to agriculture, managed through the SIAN and the information systems of the paying agencies.
CSQA, an internationally accredited certification body, supported the CAAs with a comprehensive program that included gap analysis, specific safety and compliance training, pre-audit verification, and certification audits according to the ISO/IEC 27001 standard.
