UNESCO Hills: New sustainability certification for Terranostra agritourism businesses

The training course is held at Agriturismo La Bella di Follina, and is taught by CSQA technicians, in collaboration with Terranostra, Coldiretti Veneto, and Treviso. The first seven participating properties, all Terranostra members and located in the core and buffer areas of the UNESCO World Heritage site, have joined the project with the aim of implementing the specific standards required by the sustainability certification for accommodation facilities, according to the international standard ISO 21401:2019 .

This trend is also confirmed by tourism figures : in 2025, foreign visitors accounted for 60% of the 252,553 arrivals and 573,644 overnight stays recorded in the Prosecco Hills UNESCO World Heritage area, the highest figure ever. Compared to the previous year, there was a 7.3% increase in arrivals and an 8.5% increase in overnight stays, with particularly significant growth in the non-hotel sector (+17%) and in international arrivals (+10.5%).
