The first lesson of the course officially launched the pilot project for the creation of a new certification for the sustainability of agritourism. The pilot project involves a group of agritourism businesses operating in the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The training course is held at the Agriturismo La Bella di Follina, and has CSQA technicians as teachers , in collaboration with Terranostra with Coldiretti Veneto and Treviso .
The first seven facilities participating in the project, all associated with Terranostra and located in the core and buffer areas of the UNESCO World Heritage site , are participating in the project with the aim of implementing the specific standards required by the sustainability certification for accommodation facilities, according to the international standard ISO 21401:2019.

The decision to develop the project in this area stems from the local agritourism businesses' particular sensitivity to environmental, economic, and social sustainability, increasingly important factors in the choices of visitors, especially international ones. This approach is also confirmed by tourism figures: in 2025, foreign visitors accounted for 60% of the 252,553 arrivals and 573,644 overnight stays recorded in the Prosecco Hills UNESCO World Heritage area, the highest figure ever achieved.

Compared to the previous year, there was a 7.3% increase in arrivals and an 8.5% increase in overnight stays, with particularly significant growth in the non-hotel sector (+17%) and in arrivals from abroad (+10.5%).
