The agricultural world has long been an ally of the energy transition and, given the intense and rapid transformations due to climate change, it is possible to make agriculture's active participation in the so-called 'emissions market' operational through the carbon credit trading instrument.

The ' credits ', therefore, are economic-environmental instruments, in the form of certificates, which can be traded via a European Union 'emissions market' known as the EU Emissions Trading System .

In fact, contemporary agriculture , having made great strides in reducing direct emissions, could exchange credits with those who need to offset emissions.

Thanks to the speakers, we will discover their origins, what they are exactly, and how they work, pursuing the goal of financially enhancing a concrete commitment to sustainability. After greetings from Coldiretti Rovigo director Gerardo Forina Rampolla, Marco Omodei Salè of CSQA , Gianni Rossi, technical area manager of Impresa Verde Rovigo, and Lorenzo Furlan of Veneto Agricoltura will speak. Closing remarks will be delivered by Coldiretti Rovigo president Carlo Salvan.
