The Modena Balsamic Vinegar Protection Consortium launches "GENERATIVA" On May 4th, the Consortium for the Protection of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena launched “ GENERATIVA ”, a project developed together with Nativa, CSQA and the University of Parma which will continue until 2028 with the aim of making the Balsamic Vinegar of Modena supply chain increasingly sustainable , transparent and oriented towards the creation of value over time.

GENERATIVA is based on two fundamental pillars : the first is the Made Green in Italy programme, promoted by the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security for the evaluation and communication of the environmental footprint of products and certifiable by CSQA .

The second pillar is the Supply Chain Co-evolution project, which aims to build a truly sustainable value chain that involves the entire sector, right up to the agricultural stage.

The goal is to strengthen the identity and collaboration of a currently fragmented supply chain, creating a shared system made of reliable data, common rules, and local expertise.

In the short term , GENERATIVA aims to structure a program of engagement and continuous improvement, based on the collection of primary data along the entire value chain .

In the medium to long term , the project intends to generate lasting results in terms of sustainability, resilience and planning capacity of the sector.

The approach integrates competitiveness and sustainability according to the Value Creation paradigm: creating economic, social and environmental value through a participatory, scientific process oriented towards continuous improvement of the entire supply chain.
