The Birth Process of ASST Bergamo Est has obtained certification of the Quality Management System according to the international standard UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 , confirming the high level of organizational and care of a model that accompanies the woman, the child and the family in a structured, continuous and personalized way throughout all phases of motherhood.
The certification, issued by the accredited body CSQA following an in-depth audit, recognizes the compliance of the Birth Path processes with the most advanced international standards regarding quality, safety of care, traceability of activities and continuous improvement.
ASST Bergamo Est's Birth Pathway is an integrated network between the hospital and the community , involving family counseling centers, the Obstetrics and Gynecology department, the Neonatology department (NICU and nursery), community services, and healthcare professionals in a single, coordinated system. The goal is to ensure early care for women from the beginning of pregnancy and the unborn child, promoting continuity of care, sharing of clinical information, and personalized treatment choices.
