Certottica Group takes a decisive step in its sustainable growth journey. As of October 17, 2025, the Group is officially certified according to the ISO 14001:2015 standard for its Environmental Management System (EMS).
This achievement consolidates the company's position as a technological and sustainable partner for businesses in key supply chains, in line with the ESG requirements of global brands and new market challenges.
The certification, issued by CSQA, one of the leading Italian bodies accredited by Accredia, and recognized by IQNET, the largest global certification network, covers the entire scope of Certottica Group's activities. From research and innovation to product certification, including analysis and laboratory testing in the optical, chemical, and mechanical sectors, the Group has established itself as a benchmark in the verification of personal protective equipment (PPE) and medical devices (MD) for eyewear, sports systems, and workplace safety.
"Sustainability is not a slogan, but a strategic pillar for the future of companies," says Corrado Facco, CEO (pictured) and General Manager of Certottica Group. "Achieving ISO 14001 certification is tangible proof of our commitment: not only to reducing the environmental impact of our operations, but also to becoming an innovation partner for the companies we serve, helping them meet the ESG expectations of global markets. Sustainability integrates with safety, research, and innovation: values that have defined our DNA for over 30 years."
Obtaining this certification is the result of a process initiated in June 2024, which involved all Group personnel across the board. The analysis of consumption, waste, and environmental issues at the Longarone headquarters, which underwent significant efficiency improvements, allowed us to map the starting situation and develop a multi-year continuous improvement plan.
