The BolognaFiere & ADM event, which is being held in Bologna, Italy, has sold out and visitors have increased by 9%, confirming the strategic role of private label products: over 30% of the market share, concrete support for the purchasing power of Italian families, and a generated added value equal to 10% of the national GDP.

The 22nd edition of MARCA by BolognaFiere & ADM 2026 concluded with record numbers: 25,070 professional visitors over the two-day event, a 9% increase compared to 2025. This result marks an all-time high for the fair and demonstrates the platform's centrality in the Italian and European FMCG landscape. BolognaFiere's pavilions were sold out (a 19% increase in exhibition space), with 1,540 private label partner exhibitors (+18%), 110 international exhibitors (+25%), 28 DM0 brands (+4) presenting their own stands, over 5,000 highly qualified buyers, and more than 300 strategic buyers from 30 foreign countries.

MARCA hosted an interesting discussion on the Italian beef market , focusing on production, sustainability, and nutrition. Led by Giuliano Marchesin of the Sigillo Italiano Consortium, the round table entitled " Shall We Create a Supply Chain? Using the National Livestock Quality System to Guarantee and Communicate the Quality of Beef to Consumers " promoted the communications campaign "In Europe We Care for Beef." Moderated by Elisa Bagordo , Marketing Manager of the Sigillo Italiano Consortium, the event featured Francesca Ceola, Business Unit Manager of CSQA Certificazioni; Francesco Salieri , Director of the Assobovini OP and Head of Inálca Livestock Supply Chains; Susanna Bramante , Diet and Nutrition Adviser, Meat Specialist, Science Communicator, and Agronomist with a PhD in Animal Production; Alessandro De Rocco , President of the AOP Italia Zootecnica; and Franco Martini , President of the Sigillo Italiano Consortium.

Regarding the application of the "Sustainable Farming" guidelines , Salieri emphasized that obtaining this certification was challenging. "The farming world that I represent as OP Assobovini is certainly well structured and organized. The work to obtain an LCA, the Life Cycle Assessment, for a beef farm required skills that were also acquired thanks to the support of CREA." Dr. Bramante delved into the nutritional qualities of beef and took stock of the recent "inversion of the food pyramid," which has sparked much controversy, especially on social networks. "The new guidelines point the finger at ultra-processed foods, sugar, refined vegetable oils, and artificial foods, and this is excellent news. What does the inverted pyramid say? 'Eat real food.' Forget about sweetened foods and artificial foods—that is, refined flours, sugars, emulsifying oils, flavorings, and additives." Let's put aside all these ingredients that have led to the metabolic crisis we're witnessing today.
