Quality agri-food products, especially extra virgin olive oil, are a driving force for the entire Made in Italy brand , but it is important to cultivate their culture through training to adequately prepare young people, their future ambassadors.

This is what emerged from research conducted by Censis and NielsenlQ and presented recently at the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy (MIMIT) in the presence of Minister Adolfo Urso, on the occasion of the announcement of the second annual EVO MASTERCLASS project, an initiative by Oleificio Zucchi in collaboration with RE.NA.IA (National Network of Hotel Institutes).

The project stems from the belief that knowledge is one of the most effective tools for protecting and promoting Italy's olive oil quality. With 215 years of history and an ongoing commitment to promoting olive oil culture, Oleificio Zucchi considers the education of young people a strategic investment: they are the future interpreters of Italian cuisine around the world, those who will be responsible for promoting the excellence of Italian food and agricultural products, symbols of the region. In this context, research data offers a clear context, highlighting how culture, including food culture, continues to be a determining factor in consumer choices and a driver of growth for the entire sector.

Alongside its Bulk and PL divisions, the Consumer Division produces and distributes a wide range of olive and seed oils that stand out for their excellence, flavor, and culinary versatility, thanks to its in-depth knowledge of the Art of Blending and its propensity for innovation. In 2017, Oleificio Zucchi introduced the first Sustainability Certification Guidelines for the entire Extra Virgin Olive Oil supply chain (DTP 125), guaranteed by CSQA ; In 2023, it presented the Guidelines for the Evaluation and Communication of the Sustainability of Italian Olive Oils, an interdisciplinary tool developed with the contribution of a Scientific Committee of experts and shared with the entire supply chain. In 2025, confirming its commitment to social and environmental responsibility, the company officially became a Benefit Corporation, aiming to generate not only economic, but also social and environmental value.
