CSQA has inaugurated a new stage in the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence in Italy, by issuing SMI Group the first ISO/IEC 42001 certification accredited by Accredia for AI management systems (AIMS). The awarding event, part of the conference “SheCyber: bridging the gender gap” at the Rome headquarters of SMI Group, saw the participation of Anna Conte , head of digital services development and cybersecurity at CSQA, who formalized SMI Group's Italian primacy in adopting this international standard.
With this recognition, CSQA confirms itself as the first certification body in Italy to have obtained Accredia accreditation for the ISO/IEC 42001 standard, strengthening its leadership in regulatory and technological innovation. Maria Chiara Ferrarese , general director of CSQA, underlined how the ISO/IEC 42001 standard offers “Italian organizations a tool to address the challenges of AI in an effective and responsible way”, promoting transparent, safe practices that comply with ethical and regulatory requirements.
