The Geppetto Workshop - International Center for Research and Documentation on Childhood "Gloria Tognetti" institution of the Municipality of San Miniato - was founded in 1999 with the aim of establishing a system resource that supports the development of research activities in educational services for early childhood , their documentary enhancement and their dissemination.
The Center was born from a virtuous history : the experiences achieved by the San Miniato educational services for children, their consolidated pedagogical project, the strong roots within the local community and the flattering appreciation recorded by numerous national and international observers engaged in the development of policies in favor of children and families.
The theme of training immediately becomes another point of attention and so La Bottega di Geppetto becomes, since 2003, an accredited agency of the Tuscany Region for higher education and continuous training , as well as an organization certified according to UNI EN ISO 9001: 2015 for the "Design and provision of training services, consultancy and documentary activities in the field of educational interventions for children" with CSQA.
The professional training courses are articulated and complex training itineraries created within the framework of the opportunities offered by the regional and provincial planning in the field of professional training.
Catalog training courses are also proposed and periodically implemented aimed at deepening the knowledge and know-how of those who - already in possession of a qualification required to work in early childhood education services - are interested in qualifying their professionalism.
