CSQA has obtained renewal of its authorization from the ICQRF of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry to carry out control activities on the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) “Aglio Bianco Polesano”.The measure confirms CSQA's role as the body responsible for verifying product compliance with production specifications, ensuring transparency, traceability, and protection for consumers and supply chain operators.
Polesano White Garlic PDO represents an agro-food excellence of the Veneto region, cultivated in the province of Rovigo since Roman times.
Its uniqueness comes from the selection and conservation , handed down from generation to generation, of a local seed ecotype which gives the product distinctive characteristics: an intense but balanced aroma, a persistent fresh aroma and a natural ability to keep for a long time.
Today, production covers approximately 150 hectares distributed across 29 municipalities in the province of Rovigo , demonstrating a strong connection with the territory and a deep-rooted and specialized agricultural supply chain.
As highlighted by the Protection Consortium, the value of this product is closely linked to local agronomic knowledge and the continuity of traditional practices.
The authorization renewal strengthens CSQA's commitment to protecting Italian PDO and PGI products, contributing to the promotion of local excellence and the safeguarding of certified quality.
