The GLOBALG.AP add-on COOP Italia Pesticide Transparency has been issued in version 2.
Coop Italia Pesticide Transparency is a private integration of the Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) standard for producers who supply Coop Italia.
The objective is to prevent the use of active ingredients from the Coop Italia Pesticide Transparency List on fruit and vegetables supplied under the Coop brand.
The deadlines for the new version 2:
valid from 8 November 2023;
mandatory from 1 January 2024 for GLOBALG.AP IFA v6 Smart audits;
mandatory for IFA v6 GFS as soon as it is recognized by GFSI.
The main goal and focus of this update is the simplification of the add-on rules and alignment with IFA version 6.
Main changes to the general regulation
Clarification on the field of application of the add-on for products obtained from hydroponic and substrate cultivation , which do not need to be certified according to the Coop Italia regulation on pesticides.
Alignment of audit results with IFA audit results (e.g. elimination of “Improvement Required” requirement, 100% major compliance is required for certification).
Update on unannounced audits and alignment to IFA v6 audit rules. While the unannounced audit is not required for this add-on, if the manufacturer is chosen for the IFA v6 unannounced audit, the Coop Italia Pesticide Transparency add-on will be audited unannounced.
Clarification on audit sampling rules when the add-on is combined with GFS IFA v6 with high risk producers/sites/UFs.

Update of references within CIPT6 without impact on audit methods and timing.
