Molini Pivetti has established a direct relationship with farmers by starting a controlled supply chain in 2016. “ The first Italian to be certified by the Csqa certification body ,” emphasizes Giulia Chessa, Marketing manager Molini Pivetti.
The “Campi Protetti Pivetti” brand identifies this supply chain, which produces 100% Emilian flours, from selected grains grown in the provinces of Bologna, Modena and Ferrara. “These flours,” says Chessa, “are part of the Gran Riserva line, which consists of three '00' type references, particularly sought after by the bakery sector, although they are also increasingly gaining ground in the world of pizzerias. This range is joined by the Sustainable Agriculture Line which, with the ' Campi Protetti Pivetti Sostenibile ' guarantee brand, satisfies the needs of bakeries first and foremost, and increasingly, pizzerias and high-end restaurants.”
In 2024, Molini Pivetti signed a strategic partnership with Yara Italia , a company specializing in sustainable agriculture, to support farmers through the use of low-carbon fertilizers and the integration of digital tools, with the aim of improving crops and making the supply chain more sustainable.
“This partnership – says Chessa – strengthens the one with xFarm Technologies, thanks to which we have made the xFarm Analytics platform available to our team of agronomists and farmers in the supply chain, for monitoring carbon dioxide emissions in the agricultural phase, with the aim of reducing our environmental impact”.
